Cranberries are a classic holiday staple, whether it’s eating delicious cranberry sauce or mixing them into a festive cocktail. Gin, with its pine-y flavors, is the perfect pairing with cranberries for a Christmassy cranberry lemon gin cocktail beverage that’s great for serving at a party or enjoying a cozy girl’s night in.

Limoncello is an Italian lemon liquor that can be enjoyed in a cocktail or even sipped on it’s own. I love adding it to cocktails for both extra flavor and extra kick. It tastes great when used in a sangria recipe or on the rocks in the summer season.
I know that oranges are more in season right now, but I added some fresh squeezed lemon juice and limoncello to this recipe for a flavorful, sour kick. If you’re feeling experimental, you could swap the lemon flavors for orange and it would probably be incredibly yummy! Try subbing Cointreau orange liquor for limoncello and fresh squeezed oranges for lemon juice.
You can easily substitute bottled lemon juice for the fresh squeezed lemons, if that’s what you have on hand. I always keep a bottle of lemon juice in my fridge, so often times I make this substitution when crafting cocktails. It’s a little less fresh, but still delicious!
For this recipe, I just used store-bought cranberry juice. It’s fast and easy, and it’s still delicious. But if you’re interested in keeping things super fresh, you can try making your own cranberry juice for this cocktail. Try this fresh cranberry juice recipe to help you get started!
