I love to experiment with different recipes for wings that I find online, flavoring them with either a tasty sauce or a nice dry rub. I am very proud of this particular recipe because it’s one that I created myself. With some experimentation, I developed these honey butter Tuscan dry rub wings – the best of both worlds, because they have a dry rub yet still have a nice stickiness to them. My wife claims they are the best wings she’s ever eaten, and I think I might agree!
I especially like to air fry my wings. I think it gives the perfect crispy texture, and it’s a lower fat way of preparing your wings. My air fryer is built into my oven, but you can still use a standard air fryer if that’s what you have.
Funny story: the first time I made wings in my air fryer I smoked up the entire house and set off our fire alarm. To avoid doing this again, I learned that I needed to line my air fryer with parchment paper, as well as cook the wings at a higher temperature for less time. My wife was not too happy when the house smoked up and she had to spray Febreze on all of the upholstery fabrics that were affected by the smoke!

2. Season with salt and pepper.
3. Add olive oil, recaito, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika, coating evenly. Let marinate for 20 minutes.
4. If using oven air fryer, preheat to 430 degrees while the wings marinate.
5. Once oven is heated and wings have marinated, place wings on parchment paper in the air fryer basket. Allow to cook for 15 minutes.
6. After 15 minutes, pull the wings out and lightly dust with 1/2 tablespoon dry rub. Using tongs, turn the wings over and cook for another 15 minutes.
7. In a bowl, place wings, butter, and honey. Mix together, coating wings evenly. Add the remaining tablespoon of dry rub.
8. Serve and enjoy!
