I’ve been really into mocktails these days. I am expecting my second child, and my goal has been to create mocktails so yummy that I don’t miss the alcohol. This apple cider mocktail is perfect for fall and packed with flavor!
Fresh Ingredients for an Apple Cider Mocktail
The ingredients for this tasty and refreshing beverage include fresh squeezed apple juice, maple syrup, cinnamon, and some lemon juice to brighten up the drink and keep it from being overly sweet.
You can use bottled apple juice if that’s what you have on hand, but I highly recommend fresh squeezed. The resulting juice is so much more flavorful and really will make your drink special.
How to Add a Sugar Rim to an Apple Cider Mocktail
To add a sugar rum to your drink, first cut an apple slice. Run the flesh of the apple around the rim of your glass. Then, put a little bit of cane sugar in a small bowl. Dip your rim in the sugar and twist around until the entire rim has sugar on it. This simple addition takes the drink up to the next level!
Apple Cider Mocktail: An Alternate Recipe
If you are looking for a super sweet drink, try leaving out the lemon juice. This produces a drink very reminiscent of apple cider. When I tested the recipe, I was deliberating over whether or not the lemon juice needed to be included. Ultimately, I enjoyed it both ways, but I decided the lemon juice really helped balance the drink. But if you really have a sweet tooth, skip the lemon juice!
