Hi! My name is Lauren Correa, and I’m the founder and Editor-in-Chief of Lauren Magazine.
After graduating from Rowan University with a degree in Entrepreneurship, I spent my time developing my own online magazine called The You Are Project. I also did freelance web design. The You Are Project was an online magazine for Christian women. I was proud of the work I did and the team of columnists I assembled. However, I didn’t feel that the magazine was everything I imagined it to be. I decided to step away from the project. I always thought that one day, I would relaunch a magazine with the purpose of reaching Christian women.
In 2016, I began my first marketing job at Conlin’s Print, where I redesigned the website, developed and launched a print blog, managed social media outlets, and conceptualized and designed print and digital marketing collateral. On November 18, 2019, I took a job at GBLI | Global Indemnity, where I wrote SEO optimized blog content, managed the email marketing campaigns, created content for a variety of social media outlets, and created marketing videos.
In 2023, I stepped away from working full-time to be a stay-at-home mom. Since that time, I’ve been enjoying spending my time with my little one. It wasn’t long before I began to dream of magazines again. I started blogging again under the name Lauren Rose Home. After getting started, I couldn’t contain myself to write only about interior design. I truly wanted to write on a variety of topics. I realized that I needed to start a new lifestyle magazine – and Lauren Magazine was born!
Since I was a child, I’ve been passionate about publications and writing. I wrote and compiled newspapers, magazines, comic books, catalogs, and storybooks. I love writing, but I was always especially excited at the idea of having my own platform. At twelve, this led me to wanting my own website, so I taught myself web design and launched a fan site for my favorite actress at the time. As an adult, I put these skills to use when I launched an online Christian magazine called The You Are Project.
Despite my digital experience, I’ve never lost my passion for print. There’s something special about holding a beautifully designed publication in your hand, and I will forever advocate for the power of print.
My husband Juan and I were married in 2020 in the thick of the global pandemic. I became Mrs. Lauren Correa, and we moved into our home in South Jersey around that same time. We are slowly renovating this home one project at a time. In July of 2023, I gave birth to my daughter Alexa. She’s become an energetic little girl, and I enjoy spending my days with her.
